About The Radio Station

The station is almost set up and ready to go. I have the playlist started, the website in the beginning stages of completion, and am pondering whether I should offer anything to help fund this little endeavor or not. After all, it is going to be a for-profit project eventually and will need a few options for the financing thereof.

I will be searching out a paying gig as a journalist before I head for Virginia. After all, I have been in journalism for almost as long as I have been writing poetry and fiction. One of my first paying gigs was as an independent music reviewer, music journalist, and writing journalist. I was one of the pioneering writers for a now defunct e-zine as well as a serial fiction writer.

I also wrote and posted on Triond.com shortly after that. I published articles, fiction, and poetry there for nearly four years, until it proved to be unprofitable and i was still without a paying gig. Though I have experience as a reviewer and journalist, I will not hold my breath as I search for rewarding work.

Back to the station. My intent is to divide the station between independent music and mainstream.  My idea is to give equal attention to those who are plugging away in the clubs and bars, while allowing the audience to hear the music they are accustomed to normally.
